If you uninstall and then reinstall Coastal Explorer, information about the last navigation object document you were using is lost and Coastal Explorer will start with a blank document. However, the document itself is still on your computer. If you don't normally take advantage of Coastal Explorer's ability to use multiple documents, you might have a little trouble finding your routes and waypoints after a reinstall.

Luckily finding them is quite simple:

Just click File > Open and select the route file containing the routes you want to use. By default these are stored in the "My Documents" folder, though some users prefer to place these elsewhere, or do so accidentally.

If you've forgotten where you saved your navigation objects, you can have Windows find them by clicking Start > Search > Search for files or folders and searching for *.nob (* tells windows to look for anything on the computer ending in .nob) and this will find all your saved navigation object documents regardless of where they are on your system. When your document appears in the search window, double click on it to open it with Coastal Explorer.
