Puerto La Cruz Venezuela to Bequia
by captdave on 07-Mar-2007

G'day, we are doing a cruise of the Caribbean over the next couple of years. CN is our primary electronic navigation system backed up with a Raymarine RL80CRC radar/plotter with C-map. CN has worked well for us over a thousand miles. We did have a bit of an issue getting the SR161 AIS intergated. Great weather, pleasant sea temps and lots of varied places to see and anchor in.

Our boat is a 1974 Roughwater 58 that has been completely remainufactured. Single Detroit Diesel and long range. We hope to not have to refule on this entire portion of our cruise...1500 miles or so plus a thousand hours of genset time.

Our last fill up in Venezuela was $100.00 with tip for a 1150 gallons!!

Cheers Dave
