We have downloaded the BETA version of CE, and we are using a USB GPS. We are now using Windows Vista, and now our CE will crash and a blue screen will come up and the computer will reboot. CE1.1 worked fine when we were using Windows XP, but now that we have a new computer with Vista on it, we seem to have the "Blue Screen" problem. We even uninstalled the BETA version and went back to CE1.1 on the Vista computer, and we have the same problem. We are using a Keyspan US19HS serial port adapter and downloaded the drivers for the Vista 32 and 64 bit, and still have the problem. any help on this would be appreciated.
We haven't experienced any problems with the Keyspan drivers under Vista. It is possible that you have a driver for another device that is also creating virtual serial ports. Sometimes, depending on the quality of the drivers, they can get confused as to which device they are responsible for.
In any case, I suggest you try raising the issue with Keyspan's support. They will have much more experience dealing with this type of issue.
