Coastal Explorer continues to impress us. However, we have some ideas for improvement.

1. The TerraServer-USA is a nice feature in USA. But since it is not working in Europe, it would be good to have the possibility to disable the tabs to the right. The sames goes with the search and Nearby tabs.

2. The AIS presentation is good. It would be even better if individual colors could be set to the AIS-targets, and by default have one color for moored vessels, one color for vessels under engine and so on.

3. This goes with the radar aswell. One color for fixed targets and another color for moving colors.

4. When using Coastal Explorer with a touch screen and without a keyboard, it would be great to have the possibility to start up the software directly in Cruise mode. Since you are missing a keyboard, it would be great to have large F11 and F12 buttons in top of the screen both in the planning mode and the cruise mode.

5. It would be perfect to display various data like SOG and COG in a moveable, resizeable transparent box and with manual font size possibility.

6. It had been great to have Weather access in Scandinavia.

7. The add route function is excellent. If a default value of Arrival Circle Radius of the waypoints could be set, it is also the best tool for planning and cruising in high speed navigation, using radar VRM:s and landmarks.
