The Furuno GP32 has been tested with Coastal Explorer and no problems have been found.

This model supports waypoint and route transfers.

Connecting this GPS to your computer requires a custom cable which can be made fairly easily. You will need a 9-pin "D" connector that is compatible with your computer's serial port. These are available from Radio Shack and many other electronic component dealers. Connect the following wires from the GPS to the 9-pin serial connector:

Blue (Furuno pin 2) to Serial Port pin 5

Yellow (Furuno pin 3) to Serial Port pin 2

Green (Furuno pin 4) to Serial Port pin 3
