Coastal Explorer Network connection problems.

If you are sure you have a valid internet connection and receive the following error when trying to use any Coastal Explorer features that depend on Coastal Explorer Network, such as:

  • Text or Graphical Weather
  • Automatic Chart Updating
  • Community Guidebook or Blogs
  • Check for Updates, etc.

You may need to run Internet Explorer and put it in online mode. This may be true even if you never use Internet Explorer, since many other programs utilize the "Offline Mode" feature of Windows.

When you run Internet Explorer to check for this, you will be notified that you are in "Offline Mode" and be presented with an option to go back into "Online Mode".
