We have, however, stated that we will add support for any radar
that we can and that makes sense.
By the way, the article linked above does not indicate that Navico
would allow a marine electronics manufacturer (such as Rose Point) to
use the BR24 in a competing product. In fact the SDK is intended for
custom military and surveillance products.
In addition to that, Navico charges a per-radar license fee of
$1249 on top of the $1995 cost of the radar itself. This brings the
actual price of radar inline with what Rose Point charges for a 4KW
dome system.

SDK and license fees.
Now it is a big oppertunity for CE to take the lead in software based navigation.
