A licensed professional mariner on an ocean going ATB. I am also a recreational power boater (34' Silverton) and an avid sailboat racer (and now the co-owner of a Pearson 35 sailboat). I originally used Nobeltec until version 6, after that they lost their way and became too unreliable (although v5 was a disaster as well). They also poorly implemented S-57 chart support, and ultimately removed that feature instead of fixing it. So I switched to CE and never looked back. (Maptech version initially).
